How can qualified passengers avail of the Senior Citizen discount and Student discount?
a) A Senior Citizen or his/her representative shall present a valid Senior Citizen Identification Card issued by the Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs of the city or municipality where he/she resides. In the absence of the Senior Citizen ID, any other valid identification card or document, such as Passport, Postal ID, SSS or GSIS ID, or Driver’s License, can be presented provided it proves that the passenger is at least sixty (60) years old on the sailing date.
b) A Student shall present a valid Identification Card issued by the school in which he/she is enrolled, duly signed by the school registrar or principal and validated for the current school year, term or semester. In the absence of such ID, a verifiable study load may be presented.
Do you provide assistance to Senior Citizens?
Yes, we have a Ship-nurse who can be called upon to assist Senior Citizens during the voyage.
What are the requirements for pregnant passengers?
A pregnant passenger shall secure and present a medical certificate clearly and specifically stating therein that she is fit to travel by boat on the sailing date.
What are the requirements for sick passengers?
A sick passenger or one with serious medical condition/s shall secure and present a medical certificate stating therein that he/she is fit to travel by boat on the sailing date. Passengers who are suffering from contagious or other deadly disease/s shall not be accepted onboard, unless they are constantly accompanied by a competent person, i.e. doctor or nurse, who shall be primarily liable for their personal safety and care during the voyage. Passengers with medical issues or conditions and/or physical ailments shall bring with them sufficient medication and adequate life-saving devices (such as oxygen tanks) that they may need during the duration of the travel. The Management reserves the right to refuse boarding to a passenger who it deems poses a serious threat to the health, safety or security of the passengers and/or crew.
How far in advance can I purchase my tickets?
You may purchase your ticket as early as two (2) weeks in advance of your intended sailing date. You may proceed to any of our offices and authorized outlets.
Where and how may I ask for a refund of my ticket?
Ticket refunds can be processed in any of our offices. Requests for refund or re-validation of ticket are subject to surcharges. Please make sure that you can present and surrender the original copy of your passenger ticket.
I lost my ticket. Can you give me a refund or can you issue another ticket?
The Company shall not be responsible for lost passenger tickets. It will not be refunded, and neither will the Company issue another ticket. So do not misplace or lose your passenger ticket.
I want to change my accommodation from Economy to Tourist. How can I upgrade my passenger ticket?
Tickets may be upgraded at any of our offices and authorized outlets. Present the original copy of the passenger ticket and pay the price difference between your current accommodation and your desired/upgraded accommodation.
How many days from sailing date can I ask for a refund or rebooking of my ticket?
Refund or rebooking of tickets should be made within sixty (60) days from the date of purchase of the passenger ticket. Beyond this period, the Company will no longer approve requests for refund or rebooking.
Do you issue an official receipt for the purchase of passenger tickets?
The ticket itself already serves as the official receipt.
Where are the vessels of Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Inc. docked at the Port of Cebu?
All of its vessels are docked at Pier 1 (except for Cebu-Cagayan-Cebu @ pier 4 ), Cebu City. It is near Fort San Pedro Plaza.
Where and what time should I board the vessel?
You must be onboard a specific vessel at least two (2) hours before the departure time.
The voyage for a certain sailing date is already fully booked. Can I still board the vessel as a chance passenger?
No, the Company does not accommodate chance passengers unless allowed by the Philippine Coast Guard under special circumstances.
Do you provide free meal for the passengers?
No. However, our vessels have canteens where you can purchase food and other consumables.
I want to travel with my puppy. Is this possible?
Yes, of course. However, it is necessary that you must first secure a permit for that purpose from the Bureau of Quarantine. In addition, you must have a cage where you must place the puppy during the voyage.
I want to ship a vehicle or car. Do you offer any discount or free ticket for the driver?
We only provide free passenger ticket to the driver of the vehicle if the amount reflected on the Bill of Lading is at least Php15,000.00.
I am interested to become a ticketing agent of the Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Inc. How can I become one?
You need to submit the following:
a) Letter of Intent addressed to Ms. Chanel Y. Cokaliong, VP for Finance and Administration
b) Business Permit / Mayor’s Permit
c) Good Internet Connection
d) Sketch/ location
e) Picture of the store
For Provincial Agency
a) Business Permit / Mayor’s Permit
b) DTI Permit

d) Picture of the outlet
e) Two valid I.Ds. of applicant
f) Letter of Intent addressed to the owner of the agency
