INTRODUCTION

At Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Inc. (“Cokaliong,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), we respect your right to control your personal data. This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can request to delete your account and what happens to your data when you do so.

YOUR RIGHT TO REQUEST ACCOUNT DELETION

In compliance with data protection regulations and Google Play Store requirements, we provide all users with the ability to request deletion of their accounts and associated personal data from the Byahe! App.

HOW TO REQUEST ACCOUNT DELETION

To request deletion of your account and associated data, you must contact our customer service team using one of the following methods:

Option 1: Request Account Deletion via Email

  1. Send an email to contact@cokaliongshipping.com
  2. Use the subject line “Account Deletion Request”
  3. Include your full name and the email address associated with your account
  4. We will process your request and send confirmation within 7 business days

Option 2: Contact Customer Support by Phone

  1. Call our customer support at (032) 232-7211
  2. Request to have your account deleted
  3. Verify your identity by providing necessary information
  4. Our support team will assist you with the deletion process

Option 3: Submit a Written Request

  1. Send a written request to our office address: Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Inc. Cokaliong Tower, Serging Osmena Ave., NRA Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines
  2. Include your full name, email address, and contact information
  3. Sign and date your request
  4. We will process your request within 30 days of receipt

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR ACCOUNT IS DELETED

When your account is deleted:

  1. Personal Information: All your personal information (including name, email, address, phone number, and date of birth) will be permanently deleted from our active systems.
  2. Rewards and Points: Any accumulated rewards, points, or benefits associated with your account will be forfeited and cannot be recovered after deletion.
  3. Transaction History: Records of your transactions and reward claims will be anonymized or deleted in accordance with applicable laws.
  4. Login Credentials: Your login credentials will be deactivated immediately, and you will no longer be able to access your account.
  5. Marketing Communications: You will be removed from all marketing lists, and you will no longer receive promotional communications.

DATA RETENTION AFTER ACCOUNT DELETION

While most of your personal data will be deleted immediately upon account deletion, some information may be retained:

  1. Legal Requirements: We may retain certain information as required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
  2. Legitimate Business Purposes: Anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you may be retained for analytics.
  3. Backup Systems: Your information may remain in our backup systems for a limited time before being permanently deleted (typically up to 30 days).
  4. Fraud Prevention: We may retain minimal information necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse.

TIMELINE FOR DATA DELETION

We will process your account deletion request within 30 days. Most data will be deleted immediately, with any remaining data in backups being deleted according to our regular backup rotation schedule (maximum 30 additional days).

EFFECT ON THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

If you used your Byahe! App account to access or connect with third-party services, you may need to update your preferences with those services separately. Deleting your account with us does not automatically delete accounts you have with third-party services.

REACTIVATION

Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you wish to use our services again in the future, you will need to create a new account.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Account Deletion Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means, such as email. The date the policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
